1️⃣ 😵💫 Burned Out? Here’s a Way to Avoid It
We know, we know. Parental burnout is par for the course. If you’re not overwhelmed as a working parent, are you even a working parent? Well, we’re here to say that there could be a better way. First step? Try to do away with the guilt. (Easier said than done.) But if you can do that, next you just need the 3 Cs, according to this 4-minute interview: Curiosity, Connection, and Completion. Check out the link to get the details! Have you found a way to avoid burnout? Share it with the other mamas here in the comments below!
2️⃣ 💡How to Cope with Burnout if Quitting Isn’t an Option
We all know very well that as working parents, we often don’t have the option to just tap out. But when deadlines are approaching, spring sports are in full swing, and the kids have yet another teacher work day keeping them home, something’s gotta give. We like these strategies for keeping your head above water when things get tough – including setting boundaries and asking for help. You don’t need to do this alone!
3️⃣ 🧖🏽♀️ Quick Fixes to Feel Better
Our founder, Paula, says what helps her most in avoiding burnout is saying YES to something that brings her utter joy. As working moms, we are ruthless at saying no, but sometimes we say NO so often, that we’ve cut all the joy out of our lives. So what does saying YES look like? Only you can answer the question of what brings you joy. But, here are some of our favorites:
Heating pad for a sore back (or cramps!)
Face and neck massager
15-Minute Pamper Kit
A 30 minute drive with no kids. Just our favorite music singing at the top of our lungs.
A fun exercise class you never thought you’d take— like Trapeze Yoga.
Learning to play an instrument, writing or reading

It should come as no surprise that teenagers get burned out too. When the pressures at school get to be too much, it can be easy for our kids to get frustrated, exhausted, and lose motivation. So how can you support your teen who might be suffering? Check out these strategies, like getting outside, avoiding procrastination, and getting physical exercise. The latter is key!
Think back to being a teen yourself: how often did you want to tell your parents to just shut up already? While not a kind approach, shutting up might actually be exactly what our teens need. When they’re ranting about something in their lives, our instinct is to fix it. But sometimes? They just need to get it out and have us listen. What do you think about this tactic? Let us know in the comments! Our founder, Paula, asks her teens “how can I support you right now” and that usually gets them to open up.
Last week’s poll results: 70% of you are feeling the urge to shake things up! Keep reading for a few of your thoughts and comments!
➡️ “I want to feel the urge, but I am also tired and winter still feels to have no end in sight. Hopefully once Spring starts to peek out, I will get a stronger urge and actually do something.”
➡️ “I'm newly back at work after having my second daughter, and getting into a new routine is making me want to make some big changes and shake things up. I'm itching to declutter my house, pay off some debt, and start saving for some big ticket items. Things just feel so stale right now! ”
➡️ “Our life has been shaken up enough with my husband having a forced job change, several health issues, snow days... I'd like some stability, thanks!”
