THE BIG 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣

1️⃣ 🏠 Mini Home Updates to Change the Scenery

While a full-blown home renovation might not be in the cards, sometimes giving a little facelift to different parts of the house can feel refreshing. But how are you supposed to do any of it with limited time and/or money? We found budget-friendly home remodels that are 👌🏻. The best news is that you don’t need to break the bank (or move out of your home for three months) to really make a difference. Our favorites? Changing out backsplashes, installing dimmers, and wallpapering an accent wall. Which one do you plan to do? Let us know in the comments!

2️⃣ 🤝 Virtual Networking for Working Moms

With 2025 in full swing, you might be thinking it’s time to broaden your network. But with a job, kids, a mental load heavy enough to sink a ship, and lofty protein goals, chances are you’re tapped out. But since it is 2025, that means there are countless virtual options for networking mamas – and better yet? Some of them double as support systems. Sign us up! Here are some of our go-tos:

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT 🤎

for working moms with older children
  • The good news for boys these days is that we, as a society, are incredibly aware of how important it is for them to learn to healthily express their emotions. Fortunately for all of us, there is a focus on eradicating toxic masculinity. But how are we supposed to see this through? As moms, it is tempting to take the wheel and encourage our boys to express themselves. But this psychologist points out that doing so might further reinforce the stereotype that women talk about their feelings and men don’t. If we want our boys to talk more, we need the men in their lives to step up and have those conversations with them – to show them firsthand that it’s OK for a man to discuss his feelings. What are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know in the comments!

  • If you’re parenting a teen, then it’s likely they’ll be leaving the nest in a few short years. Cue the anxious self talk: Will they be ready? Do they know enough about life to handle the world on their own? What more can I teach them in the time we have left under the same roof? This article is great because it sums up a few of the major practical lessons that our young adults need to know about living life in the real world. One big one? Money doesn’t grow on trees…

Last week’s poll results: Nearly 90% of you are married! Keep reading for a few of your thoughts and comments!

➡️ “We had a Ross and Rachel relationship for 7 years, but God knew when we were both ready. This fall, we will be married for 19 years. Love him so much!”

➡️ “18 years with my high school sweetheart- and still choosing each other. What a gift!”

➡️ “I've been married since 2004 after meeting my husband at Cedarville University (Paula's alma mater!) in 2000. Although marriage can be really tough, I've watched my single and divorced friends navigate the dating world now, and I think it's much more difficult! ”
