Time-Saving Apps for Busy Moms

Our favorite apps to help you buy back time at home and work

The Carry All

Edition #211 | Read time: 5 Minutes

Hi Mamas -

One of the most valuable resources we all have is… let’s say it together… TIME. You ladies get it.

As working moms, it quickly becomes our most precious currency. The longer the days get, the less willing we are to trade our time for things that do not truly matter.

This week, we want to help you buy some of that time back by doing things a little smarter.

We are sharing a few of our favorite time-saving apps and resources to support your home, your personal well-being, and your work life, so you can spend less time managing everything and more time actually living it.

Let’s make time work for you, not the other way around. 💛

Finally, since it’s the first newsletter of the month, don’t miss our February Must Reads at the bottom. Enjoy!

THE BIG 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣

1️⃣ 🏠 Home Apps That Simplify the To-Dos

🛒 For Grocery Shopping

Instacart + Walmart Pickup
Skip the aisles and the impulse buys. Instacart delivers groceries straight to your door (and partners with UberEats for restaurant delivery too), while Walmart Pickup lets you order online and grab everything without unloading kids or schedules. Or upgrade to Walmart+ for delivery as well. Both are easy ways to reclaim time every single week.

Want to make grocery shopping even easier? Thrive Market delivers healthier pantry staples from trusted brands straight to your door. Use our link for a discount!

🍽️ For Meal Planning

Plan to Eat
Perfect if you want a true meal planning system. Drag-and-drop weekly planning, automatic grocery lists, and the ability to reuse favorite meals make this a great option for consistency without daily decision fatigue.

ReciMe
Best for recipes saved from social media. It imports recipes and offers nutritional analysis and a grocery list. The free version works for light use, but frequent savers may want the paid version for smoother importing and better list management.

📺 A Home Sanity Hack

Roku App
When the remote disappears (again), your phone becomes the remote. Less searching, faster streaming, and one small win that saves your patience.

2️⃣  💛 Personal Apps That Help You Stay Consistent

📵 For Healthier Phone Habits

Opal
Designed to help you cut back on mindless scrolling without going extreme. Opal blocks distracting apps during set times so you can stay focused, protect your energy, and be more present.

💸 For Budgeting Without the Overwhelm

EveryDollar (or YNAB if you want more depth)
Simple, clear budgeting tools that help you see where your money is going and stay consistent without constant mental math or spreadsheets.

📸 For Managing Family Photos

Picnic
A game-changer for organizing and sharing family photos without endless camera roll chaos. Keeps memories organized and easy to revisit.

📚 For Free Entertainment (Books + Movies)

Libby & Hoopla
Most people know these for free ebooks and audiobooks, but many libraries also let you stream movies, TV shows, and documentaries. One library card = hours of free entertainment.

🌸 For Cycle & Fertility Tracking

Clue
A top overall cycle tracking app that helps you log your menstrual cycle, symptoms, and patterns in one place while providing evidence‑based insights and predictions. It’s great for general wellness and understanding your body month‑to‑month, and it also includes features that support fertility tracking and conception insights if that’s part of your journey!

3️⃣ Work Apps That Save You Time

For Managing Tasks Without the Mental Load

Todoist
A simple, powerful to-do list that helps you capture everything in one place. Great for recurring tasks, priorities, and getting things out of your head so you can focus.

🎙️ For Meetings Without Note-Taking

Fathom
Automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings so you can stay present instead of scrambling to take notes.

🚗 For Tracking Mileage Automatically

MileIQ
Tracks work mileage in the background so you do not have to remember trips or log them later. Especially helpful for anyone who drives for work.

📥 For Decluttering Your Inbox

Clean Email
Helps you quickly organize, bulk-delete, and unsubscribe from emails that pile up and steal your time. A faster way to get your inbox under control.

📰 IN THE NEWS

MOMS MAKING HISTORY 💪

For the first time ever, two moms are ranked in the Top 10 of women’s tennis. Belinda Bencic (No. 9) and Elina Svitolina (No. 10) just made history.

This is not just a sports milestone. It is proof that when motherhood is supported, women do not lose their edge. THEY LEVEL UP.

Last week’s poll results: We asked which area of your life you would choose to “biohack” first, and the results were close. Mood & stress and nutrition & gut health came out nearly tied as the top two priorities, reminding us just how connected our emotional well-being and physical health really are. It’s clear that many of us are looking for support that helps us feel better from the inside out. We shared a few tips on social media this week HERE.

Keep reading for a few of your thoughts and comments!

➡️ “I am always sleep-deficient. Even after leaving the baby & toddler stage, I am so busy that sleep is hard to come by, and then often it's hard to relax to actually sleep well due to stress. I wish it were as simple as just laying down & going to sleep. Stress makes it so much worse as between motherhood & work- I feel pulled constantly...always wishing I had more time in the day to do everything being requested of me.”

➡️ “I think that says a lot that most women are clicking "mood and stress." The stress and overload/overwhelm is real.”

➡️ “As I’ve entered perimenopause and seen significant impacts on my health, I will try just about anything to help my mood and focus and sleep and stress. All of it has been affected. I refuse to cold plunge, but I do love my red light mask, my sauna blanket, and my vibration plate!”

➡️ “I work out just about every single day. Lifting heavy. Cardio. Walking. You name it I’m doing it. But then I come home and eat a blueberry muffin that my neighbor made us. I just can not seem to get the nutrition under control. I need help.”
