Edition 109
Among 38 global peers — we’re last.
Like dead last. 🤯🤯🤯
And, honestly — it doesn’t surprise us.
In fact, last week, we shared some new research that shows a majority of moms are prioritizing catching up on sleep whenever they have a spare minute.
We asked you in our poll and nearly 60% of you said you’re choosing sleep over sex, friends, or anything else too!
Why? Just a guess…maybe we’re all a tad bit exhausted from being in last place on that work/life quality list??
Actually — wait, wait, wait.
We’re gonna pause on the “bad news” for a hot second, okay?
Your comments on sex vs. sleep were just too good not to share 🤪
➡️ “just a quickie is so stress-relieving! It also alleviates any pain I have been having, any grudges held against my husband (I commonly declare afterward, “I’m not even mad anymore honey”), my mood is instantly better and I get my best sleep! Totally worth an extra who-gives-a-💩-how-long because the benefits far outweigh… any perceived ‘sacrifice.’ “
➡️ “I can always catch up on those other things. Sleep, however, I'm in a deficit. Health comes first and then I can enjoy those other things. ;)”
➡️ “I don’t get much alone time with three young kids, so my “other” is alone time which can be reading, watching my favorite show or exercising at home.”
And this one… man, it made us laugh.
➡️ “When I can get it, I get it.”

Whatever your “it” is — we’re glad you’re getting it, mama.

🙅🏾♀️ Setting boundaries to maintain our mental health
🤕 Our achy body favorites
👋🏽 Shoutout to millennial moms
THE BIG 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣
1️⃣ Just Say No 🚫
If we can do it — you can, too. At work and at home, boundaries are essential for us to function, to maintain our own mental health, and to show up as the best version of ourselves. If you’re ready to put some boundaries in place and need help doing it in a way that doesn’t feel forceful, this free resource is just for you, working mamas.
2️⃣ Spring Break Ready ☀️
If your eyes are set on somewhere warm for a spring getaway… the deals are heating up. We loved these tips for scoring some serious savings on your trip. Especially not booking all your family’s airfare in the same transaction. Our founder, Paula, tried it and saved $500+ on flights 🛫 !
3️⃣ Body breaking down? 🤕💌
If you’re like us and got a little too low during Usher’s half-time performance, you may still be feeling the aches and pains of… well, your age.
Here are some of our favorite “I’m not old, you are” resources for feeling young again:

TO THE MOMS OF OLDER KIDS
If you’re a millennial mom sharing your closet with you kids or Googling lingo more than you’d like to mention, this is for you.
Where are the millennial moms?! This reel was made for you. Who else lets your child state their argument…. but is always right in the end? 🙋🏽♀️
A mom tired of typing, “What does ___ mean in slang?” into her search has graciously put it all in one place for the moms who need some help decoding what their tweens and teens are saying.

➡️ “I feel sleepy all the time - I have a 10-month-old baby and I am working. Sleep is the most attractive option.”
➡️ “No sex ever, by choice. I will pick UNINTERRUPTED SLEEP over anything.”
➡️ “I never get enough sleep. I’m on the go from the moment the kids wake me up, drop off kids, off to work, pick kids up, make dinner, clean up, get kids ready for bedtime and then I need to spend quality time with my husband. So, yeah I’ll choose sleep over everything else. It’s when I can get some “me” time!”
➡️ “Sex with my partner just gives me the relaxation I need , it takes stress off me also making me feel self -loved, cared and respected . I feel so close to my partner after and it feels like we get closer and we talk and we get more comfortable around each other.”
➡️ “Usually free time is during toddler nap time so my choice has to be house-bound, so I pick sleep! Sleep when the toddler sleeps is still a thing, right?”
