Edition 102

The Carry All

Edition #102 | Read time: 5 Minutes

Did you have to put on hard pants today?

(You know… not yoga pants?)

If you’re peeling yourself out of your Christmas jammies, off of your cozy couch and back to the undecorated office this week — we’re right there with you. Today’s our team’s first day back from our holiday break and despite the time away — we’re still very much easing our way back to our routines.

So — as much as the world around you is shouting, “Fresh start! New year! Start strong!” — we’re here to remind you of this:

It’s okay to take it slow today.

We’re keeping it short, quick and light this week in The CARRY™ ALL (with our full-length editions resuming next Tuesday):

  • Ways to ease back into work 👩🏼‍💻

  • Finding a morning routine that works for you 🌅

  • 2024’s can't-wait books 📚

THE BIG 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣

1️⃣ #BareMinimumTuesday

You may’ve heard of #bareminimummondays, but we’re totally making #bareminimumtuesdays a thing. If you’re sitting at your desk for the first time in a few days, take a deep breath. Don’t let that relaxed feeling you gained from your time away be so quickly replaced with stress and anxiety about all the tasks that urgently need your attention.

We loved these tips on easing back in — especially gifting yourself a catch-up day and starting with the most intimidating task. We’ll be doing both!

2️⃣ Nailing the routine

Don’t worry — we’re not here to tell you that you need to wake up at 4:30 AM to set yourself up for success — but, we do believe in the benefits of some sort of routine. If you have big goals set for 2024, these 12 working moms may have some tried and true tips and tricks to help you start on the right foot.

TLDR: Skim the “#1 time-saving tip for the morning” section where each mom shares her best tip for stretching your minutes each morning.

3️⃣ Read like a mother 📚

Raise your hand if you are giddy with excitement as we wait for 2024 book releases 🙋🏽‍♀️

Here is the list of 100 Can't Wait Books for 2024 and we are on the edge of our seats waiting to read more from some of our favorites like Sarah Maas and Emily Henry.
